Gymbo Community Guidelines

Effective: May 18, 2025

Gymbo is built for those who move with purpose. Whether you're lifting, running, swimming, or training with others, this platform exists to help you connect, grow, and stay accountable. That only works if we all respect the space and each other.

These guidelines apply to everyone. Violating them may result in suspension or removal from Gymbo.

1Respect All People

Discrimination is not tolerated. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Racism or xenophobia
  • Homophobia or transphobia
  • Sexism or misogyny
  • Ageism or ableism
  • Religious or cultural intolerance

Everyone deserves a safe, welcoming place to train and connect. If you can't show respect, you can't stay on Gymbo.

2Use Respectful Language

Aggression, harassment, and toxic behavior stop here. Do not:

  • Use slurs, hate speech, or degrading language
  • Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
  • Shame others for body type, fitness level, goals, or appearance
  • Spam or flood conversations with off-topic or disruptive content

Disagreement is fine. Disrespect is not.

3No Nudity or Sexual Content

Gymbo is not a dating platform or a space for adult content. This includes:

  • Nudity or sexually explicit images, videos, or text
  • Suggestive content unrelated to fitness
  • Inappropriate or provocative profile photos
  • Unsolicited sexual messages or comments

If it doesn't belong in a public gym, it doesn't belong on Gymbo.

4Stay Authentic

Use Gymbo to build real connections through fitness. Do not:

  • Impersonate someone else or create fake profiles
  • Mislead others with false information or exaggerated claims
  • Promote or sell services without permission
  • Post scams, clickbait, or fraudulent content

Be real. Be who you say you are. Train with integrity.

5Keep It Safe

Safety and consent are essential. Users must:

  • Respect others' boundaries during conversations or meetups
  • Avoid posting unsafe fitness advice or challenges
  • Never organize or participate in dangerous in-person events through the app

Train smart. Look out for others. Use common sense.

6Protect Privacy

Respect everyone's right to privacy. Do not:

  • Share personal information or private messages without consent
  • Doxx or expose any user's location, contact info, or identity
  • Send unsolicited messages or photos

What happens in private messages stays respectful and legal — always.

7Enforcement and Reporting

We take violations seriously. Depending on the severity, actions may include:

  • Content removal
  • Warning or temporary suspension
  • Permanent ban from Gymbo

To report a violation, use the in-app tools or contact support. Every report is reviewed by our moderation team.

8Final Word

Gymbo is more than an app. It's a movement. It's where goals are shared, trust is built, and limits are pushed with respect and intention.

Follow the code. Set the tone. Be the type of athlete others want to train with.
